═══════════════ TOPIC: POVERTY IS NOT A BLESSING  👤PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME ═══════════════ FRIDAY, 29TH APRIL 2022 ═══════════════ For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich (2 CORINTHIANS 8:9) ═══════════════ The Bible says, “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it” (Proverbs 10:22). Poverty isn’t a blessing. That’s the reason Jesus delivered us from it. The Bible says He was rich, yet for our sakes, He became poor so that through His poverty, we might be made rich. He gave us prosperity in place of poverty, in the same way that He gave us His righteousness in place of sin.  When we say poverty isn’t a blessing, that’s not to say that when someone is poor, something is wrong with him or her; no! Talking about the Gospel, the Bible says, “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith…” (Romans 1:17 NKJV). The more you receive God’s Word, the greater your faith, because “…faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). In it, he lets us know that with the knowledge of the love of Christ, we will be filled with all the fullness of God.
