RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

SATURDAY, JULY 12TH 2025 ACCEPT GOD’S WORD AS TRUTH Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  What a statement from the lips of the Master in our opening scripture above! Notice the profound but very simple instruction: “Only believe.” He says ALL things are possible to you if you believe. What does it take to believe? It simply means to accept that what the Lord has said is true. The Bible tells a beautiful story in Mark 5 that illustrates this. The Lord Jesus was approached by Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue whose daughter was gravely ill. Desperate for help, Jairus pleaded with the Lord to come and heal his daughter. On their way to Jairus’ house, messengers arrived to tell him his daughter had died. But then the Bible says, "As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe" (Mark 5:36). When they arrived at Jairus...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

THURSDAY, JULY 10TH 2025 SEE FROM THE MOUNTAIN TOP If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:1-2). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  The Word of God gives us clear instructions as to how to live, the mindset we should have, and what our outlook on life should be. Take for example what we just read in our opening scripture. The Lord is telling you to focus on heavenly things and not on earthly things. Have a mountain-top view. It brings to mind something remarkable that the Lord told me many years ago; He said, “Son, see from the mountaintop.” The interesting thing is, I didn’t even realize I was on the mountaintop until He told me. You see, it's not something you feel physically or emotionally.  I know that some Christians say they are “journeying” and trying to get to the mountaintop. But being born again, you’re on the mountaintop. You’...

𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐖𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐍?

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc.Dsc.DD. 🔴How would you've  know the Christian? How would you know someone that is a Christian? 📖John 13:34-35 (The Passion Translation ) “So I give you now a new commandment: Love each other just as much as I have loved you. For when you demonstrate the same love I have for you by loving one another, everyone will know that you’re my true followers.” 🔴Jesus said it's in love. 🔴Not love for yourself, but love for others. 🔴HOW MUCH DOES JESUS LOVE YOU? He says, just as I love you, love one another. 🔴Love goes where aeroplanes can't go. 🔴Love does not wait. Love gives. 🔴Walk in love. 🔴You can't say I love you in my heart and be harsh in your heart. 🔴Love is made visible in your deeds and in your words. 🔴You can't say I love you and not act accordingly. 📖1 Corinthians 13:1-7 If I had the gift of being able to speak in other languages without learning them and could speak in every language there is in all of heaven and earth, but d...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

WEDNESDAY, JULY 9TH 2025 PRESENTING JESUS CHRIST ALIVE Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever (Hebrews 13:8). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  When I began holding crusades many years ago, my focus was to present Jesus Christ alive to the people. Hence the posters or handbills would read, “Presenting Jesus Christ Alive” in so and so village, town, or city, naming wherever it was. I presented Him alive because, as far as I was concerned, Jesus Christ was the same as He was in Bible days, and alive. Even today, all over the world, in our books, our messages and teachings, the purpose is the same: to present Jesus Christ alive, proving His unchanging nature and power. In those early years, we held campmeetings annually. In one of those years, the theme of the camp meeting was “Beyond The Written Pages.” Yes, the Lord Jesus in His power, glory, dominion and grace lives beyond the written pages. He’s alive today, blessing and transforming lives as He did in Bible days. Christ...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

TUESDAY, JULY 8TH 2025 THE CONSISTENCY OF JESUS CHRIST Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith, follow, considering the end of their conversation. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever (Hebrews 13:7-8). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  What we read in our opening scripture above is quite profound. There’s a connection between verses 7 and 8 that many Bible translators didn’t grasp. This is due primarily to the lack of punctuation in the original Greek text. The connection is straightforward when you study the passage in context. Both verses actually emphasize the consistency of the Lord Jesus Christ. The 8th verse, which says “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever,” is not independent of the preceding verse 7. What the Spirit is emphasizing in those verses is that the leaders who brought us God's Word had a way of life that demonstrated and bore testimony to the power and consistency of the Lo...

𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐏 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐒𝐈𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒. 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐌

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc.Dsc.DD. 🩵You are serving God, But you will not help your siblings, you can’t remember them, but you remember God?  🩵What about your Parents? 🩵Sometimes, you have a Christian who will not provide for his spouse or for his children. 🩵Loving God is expressed in loving people. 🩵In Christ, we also have spiritual families and they are just as important. 🩵As a Pastor do you remember those that labour with you? Do their financial conditions affect you or are you hard-hearted towards them? What about fellow ministers? Neighbouring churches going through difficult times? These are things we need to rethink and repent of. 🩵You are in a position and have a fellow Christian working with you who has not been paid for 3 months….. 🩵The love of God that you demonstrate in works is so important. These are works of Love. You demonstrate that love towards those that you can see, to begin with. 📖1 John 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a l...
