Some people think they need special things, such as handkerchiefs, water, or other items, to receive help from God. But the Bible teaches that our relationship with God is not built on objects. The Bible did tell us that Paul’s handkerchiefs and aprons healed the sick (Acts 19:11–12), but he never taught us to depend on them. God lives in you by His Spirit, and you can talk to Him anywhere and anytime. Your prayers, your faith, and your trust in His Word are what matter most. _Pastor Chris Oyakhilome_ _Wednesday, August 19th 2026_ *LITTLE FAITH CAN GROW* _(No Amount Of Faith Is Insignificant)_ *TO THE BIBLE:* *Romans 12:3 KJV* _“For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”_ *LET’S TALK* Stefan always thought he didn’t have enough faith as a Christian. He figured his was less than Christine’s, who always had miracles and supernatural events happening in her life. This was Stefan’s thinking till the day he heard Romans 12:3 preached in church. He suddenly realised he had all the faith he required for an awesome life and, in fact, could grow his faith.  This same amount of faith is what you’ve received as God’s child. We find the answer in the words of the Lord Jesus in John 17:17, *“…thy word is truth.”* God’s Word is truth. However, not everything quoted from the Bible is the Word in truth. For it to be the Word of God, it must be consistent with the doctrine of Jesus Christ and the provisions of the Gospel. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the unfolding of divine truth.  Outside the Gospel, truth remains veiled, but in the Gospel, truth is revealed, opened, and made clear. _Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD_ _Tuesday, August 18th 2026_  *THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD BY FAITH* _For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth_ *(Romans 10:4)* There’s an important truth you need to understand about righteousness: it’s by faith, not by works. The Scripture makes this contrast clear in Romans 9:30-32. The Gentiles obtained righteousness because they received it by faith. But Israel, who pursued it through the Law, didn’t attain it because they sought it by works. The Bible states clearly that by the works of the Law shall no man be made righteous: *“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ…for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified”* (Galatians 2:16). Also, Romans 3:2122 says, *“But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested…Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe….”* ...

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME MONDAY, 17TH AUGUST 2026   USE GOD'S WORD TO WIN    Luke 4:4  Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.   When Jesus was tempted by the devil, He didn't argue or get afraid. Instead, He answered with God's Word. Each time the devil tried to tempt Him, Jesus said, "It is written," and quoted Scripture (Matthew 4:1-11).   Jesus knew the Word of God, and that helped Him stand strong. This teaches us something important. When you know God's Word, you can use it to stand against wrong thoughts, fear, and temptation.   God's Word gives your faith direction and strength. LES TALK Most rivers don’t create their own water; they simply carry water from a larger source, such as rainfall, glaciers, or lakes. When the source dries up, the river eventually disappears. What many people call their “supply” is often only a channel. The most important thing therefore isn’t the channel, but the source of it. Now, the way some people live, you would think Paul meant, “My God shall supply all your needs according to how much you’re paid at your place of work.” Even if your “job” is chores, a part-time gig, or allowance, God is still your ultimate source. The Holy Spirit was given to lead you, guide you into all truth, and help you fulfil God’s destiny for your life.
