When the Word of God is absent from a person’s life, confusion and misdirection become inevitable.  The knowledge of the Scriptures keeps you aligned with God’s truth and preserves you from deception. _As God’s people, we’re encouraged to be involved in the work of the ministry, to take the message of salvation to the unsaved and reconcile men to God. But while you’re at it, live a life that’s pleasing to the Lord. Christianity is a call to righteousness and a walk in righteousness. Don’t live in sin. The Bible says sin shall not have dominion over you (Romans 6:14). Serve God in holiness and righteousness. Stay in the Word and practise your Christianity, regardless of the pressures. Mistakes and challenges do not erase who you are. You can still be the person God created you to be. Bad days do not make you a bad person. Don't allow your mistakes to define you. The example of David and Jonathan’s son, Mephibosheth, gives us a clear and practical picture of how covenant mercy works (2 Samuel 9). Long after Jonathan’s death and well into his reign as king, David was moved by the covenant he had made with Jonathan.
