RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 29TH 2023 TRUST AND RELY ON GOD ALONE Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding (Proverbs  3:5). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  In a world filled with imperfect human systems, it's crucial to shift our trust from these fallible structures and wholly trust in the Lord. The failures and limitations of human systems serve as reminders to us that our ultimate trust should be in the one who is completely reliable—the LORD! Some time ago, news aired of a man who was planning to sue his state government for being wrongfully convicted. He endured 37 long years in prison for a crime he never committed. It's truly disheartening to think about it. There're others who have remained behind bars for crimes they didn't commit as a result of the failure and inadequacies of the system and their government. Humans naturally feel the need to trust and depend on something or someone. We weren't designed to be faithless; we were meant to...

MONDAY, OCTOBER 23RD 2023 RIGHTEOUS USE OF YOUR FINANCES But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  Whatever you are currently doing with your finances, especially in relation to God, to the propagation of the Gospel and the advancement of the Kingdom is a reflection of what you would do if your finances were multiplied a hundred times. Someone might think, “Only if l could get a million dollars, I’ll be a big financier of the Kingdom of God!” The question is, have you been faithful with the little committed to you? Have you put that little in your trust into the Gospel? The Lord Jesus, in Luke 16:10, emphasizes the principle of faithfulness and integrity in managing worldly possessions when He said, “He who is faithful in a very little [thing] is faithful also in much, and who is dishonest and unjust in a very little [thing] is dishonest and unjust also in much. Therefore if you...

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22ND 2023 THE URGENCY OF THE GOSPEL Preach the Word of God urgently at all times, whenever you get the chance, in season and out, when it is convenient and when it is not. Correct and rebuke your people when they need it, encourage them to do right, and all the time be feeding them patiently with God’s Word (2 Timothy 4:2 TLB). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  We must constantly remind ourselves that the Lord is coming soon. We must work hard as people who are living in expectation of the Lord. Commit yourself to spreading the Gospel as though it rested on you alone to tell it to the whole world. Be committed to it. We’ve got to use every opportunity to propagate the Gospel and advance the Kingdom of God. No one’s effort is insignificant. It doesn’t matter where you are; whether you’re in a big city or a small town, ten souls in a small village have the same value to God as ten souls in a big city. It’s the same Jesus Christ that died for them. Where you are is God’s headqu...

SATURDAY, 21ST OCTOBER 2023 YOU CAN CAST OUT DEMONS FROM ANYWHERE Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give (Matthew 10:8). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  There’re those who say, “You can cast demons out of individuals but you can’t cast them out of a city.” But that’s not true. In Mark 5, we find a very interesting story of Jesus demonstrating His authority in casting out devils. He came across a demoniac who lived among tombs, and had a legion of demons. When the man saw Jesus from afar, the demon, speaking through him, said, “...What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not” (Mark 5:7). The Bible says the demon “...besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country” (Mark 5:10). Even the demons knew Jesus could send them out of the country and they immediately began to plead with Him. Whether “the country” means countryside, a region or ...

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 11TH 2023 YOUR TONGUE IS THE COMPASS For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body (James 3:2). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue...." It parallels what the master said in Mathew 12:37, "For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned." Through your thoughts, your character is formed, but it's expressed through your words. Your mouth-work is your life. As revealed in our opening verse, Christian perfection or maturity is expressed primarily in your communication. If you want to go in the right direction in life, your tongue is the compass. If you offend in words, you're sunk; but if your communication is wholesome, your life will be great. Your speech controls you. Proverbs 15:4 says, "A wholesome tongue is a tree of life...." I Iove the way Peter puts i...

WEDNESDAY, 4TH OCTOBER 2023 CHOOSE TO WIN I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live (Deuteronomy  30:19). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  One important choice you have to make in life is to always win. Choose to win. When you choose to win, nothing in the world will be able to stop you. But the first thing is for you to make that decision, because not everyone chooses to win. Some people go through life just hoping things will turn out right; they don't consciously think about winning. Such people say, "Well, if I'm lucky, I will make it". No! Don't wait for luck. God's children don't hope for luck or walk by luck; we walk in the grace and blessings of God. Some others say, "I won't choose anything, win or lose." If you don't choose to win, you have chosen to fail. How can you help others if you don't cho...

FAITH'S PROCLAMATIONS OF HEALING AND HEALTH

MONDAY, 2ND OCTOBER 2023 SPEAK 🗣️ “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses” I declare , (1 Timothy 6:12).  in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ , that my faith is working and producing results. The Word of God is working mightily in me, building up my faith and producing in me what it talks about! It's working in my spirit, in my mind, and in my physical body!  I set my gaze upon Christ Jesus, the author , and perfecter of my faith! I refuse to be moved or swayed by the physical circumstances around me because I am founded upon the rock that is Christ!  I am set on the course that I must follow, in the Name of Jesus! The Bible says concerning me in Colossians 3:4 that Christ is my life. That means that my physical body is infused with the very life of Christ.  I refuse sickness and disease; I refuse to accommodate infirmity in me because Christ is my li...

MONDAY 2ND OCTOBER 2023 SOAR HIGHER  Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat comneth, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit (Jeremiah 17:7-8). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  When someone says to you, "Things are so expensive now; prices have gone up." Smile and say, "I"ve gone higher than the prices. I've ascended beyond inflation." That should always be your mentality. From experience, we've only known prices of goods and commodities to always keep going higher. The cry has always been that things are getting more expensive. So, if it's happening again, why do you care? Don't let it trouble you, because you're the seed of Abraham. Your life is different. I found out in my Bible that God's people always soared...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29TH 2023 PRAYING IN TONGUES IS KEY But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit (Jude 1 : 20 AMPC). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  If you desire to improve yourself and operate at a higher level of spiritual maturity and efficacy, the Scripture tells you what to do: pray in tongues often. This will work for any area in which you desire to make tremendous progress and take giant strides, be it in your health, academics, jobs, business, or finances. Even in contending for the souls of men, or interceding for those who have issues understanding the Word, or those who're dull in the things of the Spirit, praying in tongues is key! When you pray in tongues, the Holy Spirit gives you insight and specific guidance that you need to deal with the situation. You'd be able to discern whether you have said enough or if there is more to be said or done. Also, in prayin...

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 28TH 2023 PRAY FOR A RECEPTIVE HEART Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls (James 1:21). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  When you share God's Word with others, it may not work unless the Holy Spirit ministers to their hearts. You may preach and teach, but if the Spirit of God isn't ministring to their hearts, it's not going to be effective; that's the reason why prayer is crucial. When you pray for others in this context, it's not about you, but your hearers, that the Lord give them a receptive heart, and that the darkness that blinds their hearts be dispelled and the power of evil holding them in bondage is broken. Remember the Word of Paul the Apostle: "And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in...

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH INCONTROVERTIBLE BENEFITS OF FELLOWSHIP The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen (2 Corinthians 13:14). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  The incontrovertible benefits and blessings of fellowship with the Holy Spirit can't be overemphasized. The Holy Spirit wants to be involved with every part of your life, and you must let Him. He wants your progress, advancement, prosperity, and success to be evident for all to see. Sometimes, a Christian might experience a period of remarkable growth and progress where things are moving swiftly and smoothly. However, there may be occasions when everything suddenly seems to stall. Despite attempting various strategies and ideas, nothing appears to change. Such scenarios often arise when one start neglecting the ministry of the Holy Spirit in their personal lives. When the speed or rate of growth reduces or completely stalls, either in numerical growth, fin...

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 24TH 2023 CHRIST AND HIS CHURCH And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all (Ephesians 1:22). Christ and the Church are one. He is the head and we, the Church are His body. We're inextricably one with Him. In Acts 9:3-5, for example, we have a clear reference of the union of Christ and the Church in the dialogue between the Lord and Saul of Tarsus, who later became Paul. That passage reads, "And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks" (Acts  9:3-5). Prior to his conversion, Saul wreaked havoc in the early Church and persecuted Christians everywhere, ...

FRIDAY, 22ND SEPTEMBER 2023              YOUR WORDS AND YOU For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned (Matthew 12:37).  PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  As a Christian, you ought to always examine your life, especially with respect to your words, because your words reveal your character. If a man’s words are harsh, bitter and biting, then that’s who he is inside. But if your words are gracious and loving, that’s the character of your personality. Your words reveal you. James 3:2 says, “For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.” Jesus said in Matthew 12:35, “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.” There’s love, beauty, goodness and excellence in your spirit. So when you speak, it should be out of that abundance. The p...

SUNDAY 10 SEPTEMBER YOU ARE THE LIGHT: PERSONALIZE IT   While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them (John 12:36 )   PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:14: "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid." The world is in darkness, but you're the light of the world. In John 8:12, Jesus said, "..l am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."   He also said in John 9:5, "As long as l am in the world, I am the light of the world." Remember Jesus has ascended to heaven; therefore, we're now the light of the world because we live in His stead; He lives in us and reigns through us.   1 Thessalonians 5:5 says, "Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness." RHAPSODY OF REALITIES, DAILY DEVOTIONAL

~ PASTOR CHRIS TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5TH 2023 KEEP SATAN IN CHECK  📖So be subject to God .Resist the devil (stand firm against him)and he will flee from you(James 4:7 AMPC) Our opening Scripture implies that you have  a responsibility to keep in check ,to restrain him from carrying out his manoeuvres, manipulations and destructive acts of wickedness. The Bible describes him as a liar ,the father of lies ,and the originator of deception. Jesus said in John 8:44. “…He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie,he speaketh of his own;for he is a liar, and the father of it.” That’s his role;he is a killer. Satan  doesn’t seek friendship but rather aims to kill.Deception and destruction are among the many works  attributed to him.He is referred to as the evil one and the wicked one, meaning that all his works are evil. These descriptions clearly demonstrate that we can’t give him a chance. Thank God ...

Daily Juice

Make up your mind to be grateful to God. Don't allow people or circumstances change your mind. Keep it set on being thankful. It's not what happens to you or what you have or don't have that is important; it's how your mind is arranged and the choices you make. Know what to ignore and express your joy.  You place a value on everything in your life. You are the one who esteems what's important to you. Apostle Paul wrote the book of Philippians while in prison. Yet, it's his happiest book. He used the words "joy," "rejoice," and "rejoicing" a total of seventeen times in just four chapters. Apostle Paul was praising God and rejoicing from jail. Be thankful for what you have. Your life is someone else's prayer point and miracle. Someone somewhere is grateful for half of what you have. A grateful heart is a magnet for a miracle; thanksgiving is your resúmé for a testimony. Make sure to follow us, comment and share our posts on our ki...

*CONTENDING FOR LOST SOULS*  Monday, 4th September 2023 Pastor Chris *But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them (2 Corinthians 4:3-4 NKJV).*  When it comes to winning souls, we must recognize that we are engaged in a “fight.” The Apostle Paul calls it the good fight of faith, because there’re evil and desperately wicked spirits that seek to keep people away from experiencing salvation.  If the sinners don’t receive the Gospel, it’s not because our gospel is difficult or obscure; it’s because Satan has blinded their minds. That’s what we read in our opening verse. Satan is actively working to obstruct their understanding and reception of the truth; that’s why we must intercede for them.  Soul winning is more than just telling someone about Christ; there’s also the fight we f...

HONOUR SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY  Saturday, September 2nd  Pastor Chris He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm (Psalm 105:14-15).  In Numbers 12:1-16, the Bible tells us how Aaron and Miriam spoke against Moses because of his Cushite wife. They questioned Moses’ authority and claimed that God could also speak through them. God heard their words and called them, along with Moses, to the Tabernacle.  There, He appeared to them in a pillar of cloud and rebuked Aaron and Miriam, affirming Moses’ unique position as His servant. He declared that, unlike the other prophets that He spoke to through visions and dreams, He spoke to Moses face to face, revealing His glory, and He queried Aaron and Miriam who’d dared to speak against His chosen servant.  Here’s what I want you to notice as a consequence of their error; the Bible says, “...the anger of the LORD was kindled agai...

FRIDAY, 1ST SEPTEMBER 2023                                                                      BUILD YOURSELF AND BUILD OTHERS Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine (2 Timothy 4:2).  PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  The Apostle Paul, writing to Timothy, said, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15). Notice that he emphasizes showing yourself approved, not unto men, but unto God. This means you’re to present yourself to God as one who’s ready and trained for the work of the ministry, soul winning and discipleship. There’re those who only study the Scriptures to preach; yes, this will benefit others because it’s the Word, but it is cruci...

_Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD_  _Thursday, 31st August 2023_ *RELY ON HIS GUIDANCE* _Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths_ *(Proverbs 3:5-6)* There’s more to our existence than the ordinary thinking process we engage in, the guesswork, and even the dependence on so-called experts who often disappoint us.  The world has witnessed countless disappointments throughout the ages in various professions, fields of knowledge, and industries. It amplifies an obvious reality: you cannot rely solely on human wisdom to live a successful life. It’s with this understanding that we must appreciate and depend on the guidance and leadership of the Holy Spirit. Remember Jesus said, *“…I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen”* (Matthew 28:20 NKJV). This He makes possible through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. Consider the words of Jesus in John 16:13: *“Howbeit...
