Even in the face of severe persecution, they didn’t shrink in fear or retreat in silence. Instead, they preached the Gospel with boldness. When Peter and John were arrested and threatened not to speak in the Name of Jesus (Acts 4:3 NLT), they didn’t cower but continued to speak boldly in the Name of the Lord. When you study further into verse 8, it specifically tells us that Peter, being filled with the Spirit, began to expound the Gospel to the people, including the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees.
