MONDAY, JANUARY 6TH 2025 WE’RE HEAVENLY BEINGS The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven (1 Corinthians 15:47). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD. Part of what we observed from our previous study is that if you have Christ, you have eternal life, and if you don’t have Christ, you don’t have eternal life. It’s as simple as that. Without Him, you’re still living in the state of the first Adam, 100% human, earthly, and of this world. The Bible paints a clear picture of this reality in 1 Corinthians 15:47: “The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.” The first Adam represents humanity’s earthly nature, the fallen state that began with him. This nature is limited, bound by the world, and destined for destruction. That’s a painful truth to acknowledge, but it’s what the Bible says. SUNDAY, JANUARY 5TH 2025 YOU RECEIVED SOMETHING WHEN YOU BELIEVED For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).  PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD. The most beautiful part of the Gospel is not only that Jesus bore our sins and sacrificed Himself for us, but that He gave us something in return—eternal life. One of the most well-known verses in the Bible is John 3:16 and it says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  This means anyone who believes in Jesus Christ receives eternal life. It’s a guarantee! The moment you believe in Jesus, you have it. You don’t have to wait for it or hope for it; you have it immediately. John 6:47 says, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” It’s not a promise of something to come in the futur...
