In Hebrews 11:5, we learn that before God took him to heaven, he had a testimony that he pleased God. That means he lived every day to please the Lord. What a beautiful thing to be known for! How did Enoch do this? He walked by faith. The Bible says that without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Faith means trusting what God says and choosing to act on it. This was also the mindset of the Lord Jesus. Hebrews 12:2 tells us that for the joy set before Him, He endured the Cross and despised the shame. He had His eyes on the prize. You must know what to do with the thoughts that come to your mind every day. Your victory or defeat often begins with the thoughts you choose to dwell on. When there was no natural reason to expect a change, he held on to what God had said. That’s the life of faith.
