RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

SATURDAY, MAY 3RD 2025 ASSOCIATES OF THE GOD-KIND I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High (Psalm 82:6). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  Psalm 82:6 is a remarkable portion of scripture; this truth was echoed by the Lord Jesus Himself in John 10:34. He said, "...Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?" What would this mean but what it says? In John 1:12, the Bible tells us, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Then in 1 John 3:1, the Apostle John exclaimed excitedly, "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God...." The Apostle Paul, in his beautiful letter to the Galatian church, said, "And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God throu...

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc.Dsc.DD 🔴Walking in love isn’t an option for the Christian, and one major characteristic of love is that it forgives.  🔴You must always forgive others, irrespective of what they might have done against you.  🔴It doesn’t matter the extent of hatred and acrimony you may experience from certain people, you have the obligation to love and forgive those who hurt or persecute you, like Jesus did. 🔴Imagine His reaction to those who crucified Him; He looked up to heaven and said, “...Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do...” (Luke 23:34). He overlooked their ignorance and forgave their wrongs.  🔴Always be quick to forgive.  🔴Don’t say, “But what he did was so terrible”; there’s no wrong that doesn’t deserve forgiveness. Jesus proved it. 🔴Hold nothing against anyone. Even the most difficult people, under the most difficult circumstances, still deserve to be loved. 📖1 John 4:7-12 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of...

FRIDAY, MAY 2ND 2025 FILLED WITH THE TOTALITY OF THE DIVINE ESSENCE And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:19). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  To be filled with the fullness of God means to be filled with the totality of the divine essence, His very being. Colossians 1:27 says, “...Christ in you, the hope of glory”; this is what it means. It leaves no room for ambiguity; we’re replete with God. We’re associates of the God-kind, not when we get to heaven but here and now in the earth, in this life. Imagine being so full of God—His power, wisdom, and glory—that fear has no place in you. This is why we, as Christians, are bold. We cannot accommodate fear because we are loaded with the fullness of God. The Greek word for filled is “Pleroo”, and it means the full or maximum load. That means we’re completely saturated with the maximum load of God. Jesus exemplified this. He declared, “...as the Father hath life...

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc.Dsc.DD. 🔴When we say, “THE BATTLE IS THE LORD'S,”  there's a lot more to that.  🔴It's the Lord's battle alright, BUT HE CALLS YOU HIS BATTLE AXE AND WEAPONS OF WAR (Jeremiah 51:20) 🔴You are God's missiles and battle axe. 🔴It's important that you catch your sense of dignity early. 🔴Do your work. Excel in your work. But Excel in your Christianity.  🔴How will you make things happen? — It's by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God working in you. 🔴Don't walk by feelings. 🔴We all have our world of contact. 🔴Power became resident in you the day the Holy Spirit came to live in you. 🔴All the demons flying from place to place, Jesus said you are the one to cast them out. 🔴We are guided missiles. Arrows in God's hand. Who is to cast demons? Jesus said it's YOU! 🔴You’re a saviour to your world.  🔴You were sent to save others.  🔴You’re on earth and alive to do the Lord’s work; to win more and more people to Jesus...

THURSDAY, MAY 1ST 2025 DIVINE COMPETENCE Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God (2 Corinthians 3:5). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  The Apostle Paul makes an important declaration in 2 Corinthians 3:5 that “...our sufficiency is of God.” The Greek word for sufficiency here is “hikanotes,” which means competence or ability. This means, as a child of God, you’re divinely competent. Your ability comes from God, and recognizing this truth brings a transformation in the way you think and live. In that scripture we see a principle of divine exchange: God has given us of His ability and competence so that we could function with the ability of God. The confession of the Word is a key part of this process. This divine competence and ability have been imparted to you. Therefore, you must keep saying it. Always affirm that the ability with which you function is of God. Just knowing about it or reading about it is not enough. It’s yo...

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc.Dsc.DD. 📖2 Corinthians 2:14 KJV Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. 📖2 Corinthians 2:14 AMP But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ's victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere, 📖2 Corinthians 2:14 GNT Victory through Christ But thanks be to God! For in union with Christ we are always led by God as prisoners in Christ's victory procession. God uses us to make the knowledge about Christ spread everywhere like a sweet fragrance. 📖2 Corinthians 2:14 MSG In the Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade. Through us, he brings knowledge of Christ. Everywhere we go, people breathe in the exquisite fragrance. Because of Christ, we give off a sweet scent rising to God, which is recognized by those on the way of...

TUESDAY, APRIL 29TH 2025 PROVE HIM IN YOUR LIFE  Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me (Jeremiah 32:27). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  As a child of God, never find yourself in situations of desperation or lack where you’re constrained to beg. Even in prayer, God doesn’t want you to beg Him; He has honoured you too much for that. Instead, take your rightful place as His heir. Embrace your position as a child of the monarch of the universe; honoured, dignified and glorified. The challenge with some folks is that they think about the size of their problems instead of putting their focus on the Lord. What you need is to prove God in your life. Observe what He says in Malachi 3:10, “...prove me now herewith....” Prove Him and see; He’s not intimidated by the greatness of your need. It reminds me of an encounter with a certain lady who was born with a blood condition. She had come to see me, and as she spoke, she described her “overwhelming” con...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

SUNDAY, APRIL 27TH 2025 THE PRIMARY WAY FOR US TO PRAY Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Ephesians 6:18). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  Praying in the Spirit is the primary way for Christians to pray; it means praying in other tongues. When you pray in tongues, it’s your spirit praying, even though your understanding is unfruitful. Thus, the spiritual man prays first with the spirit and then with the understanding also. Sadly, many reverse this order; they pray predominantly with their understanding and sparingly in tongues. That’s not going to work. Recall what we read in our opening scripture; it means there’re different kinds or forms of prayer. However, irrespective or alongside all these various types of prayers, you should pray in the Spirit, that is, pray in other tongues. Think of this like a doctor’s prescription that says, “Take these tablets with every meal.” Now, breakf...
