RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

WEDNESDAY, MAY 14TH 2025 INSTRUMENTS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS ...but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God (Romans 6:13). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  Romans 6:10-11 is the reality of your life in Christ. You’re dead to sin and alive unto God. You’re not under the dominion of sin or death. The old nature that was a slave to sin is dead—crucified with Christ—and now you live in the newness of life. You’re alive to righteousness, glory, and the Lordship of Jesus.  It helps us understand what the Bible says in Romans 6:12, “Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.” This means you have authority over your body, over your thoughts, over everything that pertains to you. You’re no longer subject to failure, decay, or destruction. You’ve come out of spiritual death into the realm of life— God’s life. When you touch things, they don’t deteriorate; they improve....

_Pastor Chris Oyakhilome_ _Tuesday May 13th 2025_ *HE DIED TO GIVE US A NEW LIFE* _Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin_ *(Romans 6:6)* The Lord Jesus didn’t come to give us a religion; He came to give us life—the God-life! He gave up everything, even His own life, to make us sons of God. When you truly understand the magnitude of His sacrifice, it’ll transform your outlook on life. You’d live victoriously every day, knowing that His death, burial and resurrection brought us life everlasting—free from sin, sickness, poverty and death.  The vicarious sacrifice of Jesus Christ wasn’t symbolic; it was a reality, and so is the freedom it brought to us. His resurrection secured our victory over death and every form of oppression. The Bible says, *“Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him”* (Romans 6:9). And guess what? Death has no d...

_Pastor Chris Oyakhilome_ _Sunday May 11th 2025_   *YOUR LOVE-WALK* _Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you_ *(Ephesians 4:31-32)* Challenges will come; they may come from people around you or those from afar, but remain unflustered. Never repay evil with evil. You must walk in love at all times. The Lord Jesus said, *“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another”* (John 13:35). In Matthew 5:44, the Lord said, *“…Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.”* We’re to emulate the Lord in our love-walk. Ephesians 5:1-2 NIV, says, *“Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us….”* Can you take...

𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄'𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐗…

Especially when you’ve both been talking and dragging the subject for weeks... And he’s been pressuring you, saying: “It’s nothing,” or “Let’s just be close,” or “It will even bring us closer…” But after the sex? 𝐁𝐀𝐁𝐘, 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄'𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐁𝐄𝐀𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐅𝐔𝐋 𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄. The chat cools down. The calls reduce. The energy dies. And you begin to feel it… He’s no longer chasing. Then comes the question you’ve avoided asking: “𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐖𝐄?” And his answer? > “We’re whatever you want us to be o… but let’s just see how it goes.” Or worse… “I’m not ready for anything serious.” Suddenly, you feel clingy. You feel needy. You start wondering if you did something wrong. And eventually… you regret it. But you could’ve avoided all that... If you’d just let him keep chasing. Let him keep calling. Let him keep showing effort. Because one of two things will happen: 1. He’ll walk away – and that’s okay. At least you’ll walk away whole, undamaged, and u...
