Years ago, I made a decision to always be grateful to the Lord and live happily every day. I discovered from the Word of God that no one was sent to make me happy. Jesus already accomplished everything necessary for my joy. The Bible says He gave us “Joy unspeakable and full of glory” (1 Peter 1:8). That joy is in our spirits.  When you received salvation, it came with this joy, and Isaiah 12:3 tells us “...with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.” Joy comes from your spirit, and happiness is one of its fruits. If you’re joyful in your spirit, happiness naturally follows. Happiness is a state of mind, but joy produces so much more. The fruits of joy include laughter, celebration and dancing. When Jesus said in John 14:2, “...I go to prepare a place for you,” that place is called “Christ”; that’s your new home and environment. God’s plan is that He’ll gather all things in Christ. The Bible says, “That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him” (Ephesians 1:10). Christ is eternity! Now that you’re in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), you live in eternity. You have eternal life. PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ was indeed a profound mystery. Satan, being a created being and not omniscient, couldn’t have known the full significance of Christ's redemptive work. The Bible reveals this truth in 1 Corinthians 2:7-8, "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory."
