First, He made it clear that Satan has a kingdom with a structure. Satan’s kingdom operates with coordination and hierarchy. We referenced this in our previous study.  However, the Master went further and revealed another crucial truth. In Mark 3:27, He spoke about entering a strong man’s house and spoiling his goods. The *“strong man”* in this context refers to Satan. Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing (Ezekiel 47:12 NIV). Did you notice something amazing in our opening verse? _As God’s people, we’re encouraged to be involved in the work of the ministry, to take the message of salvation to the unsaved and reconcile men to God. But while you’re at it, live a life that’s pleasing to the Lord. Christianity is a call to righteousness and a walk in righteousness. Don’t live in sin. The Bible says sin shall not have dominion over you (Romans 6:14). Serve God in holiness and righteousness. Stay in the Word and practise your Christianity, regardless of the pressures. The example of David and Jonathan’s son, Mephibosheth, gives us a clear and practical picture of how covenant mercy works (2 Samuel 9). Long after Jonathan’s death and well into his reign as king, David was moved by the covenant he had made with Jonathan.
