Some people are still of the opinion that Christainity is a religion, but it isn't at all. Religion is all of man's ways and efforts to reach out to God. Christianity, on the other hand is God's work in a man. It's the living, pulsating life of God in a human person, it's Christ at home in you. Christainity is divinity at work, and alive in and through you; it's the relationship between a human being and a living God. It's the call to oneness with Divinity and Deity; an unending walk with God in righteousness, and a call to a lovely, glorious transcendent life.

"But I'm now very religious since I became a Christian, one might interject; but no! that's a complete misunderstanding of who a Christian is. A Christian is one in whom God dwells, a partaker of the divine nature, an associate of the God-kind. This makes Christainity so sublime! Gid wasn't fulfilled to merely be with or live amongst us, He chose rather to take up His abode in the quarters of our hearts! That's the beauty and glory of Christianity! It's the life of God lives out through you. It's the unveiling of the living Word in a human life!

Unless and until this becomes your understanding of Christainity, all you have will be mere religion. The essence of Christianity, the reason we go to Church, pray, preach the Gospel, and do the things we do as Christians, aren't because we've embraced a religion, but because we've received God's nature, _His life. That's what Jesus brought to us.

MONDAY AUGUST 26TH 2024 EXTRICATED FROM DEATH …who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (2 Timothy 1:10). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME The Bible records that in ancient times, humans lived for exceptionally long periods with lifespans exceeding 900 years. However, as sin increased, lifespans diminished. Genesis 6:3 says because of sin, man's lifespan was limited to 120 years. Moses, in his psalms, made an observation that due to sin, the typical lifespan of man was seventy years or eighty for those who were stronger. Even in old age, man’s life was filled with toil and sorrow, ultimately ending in death (Psalm 90:8-10). The Lord Jesus, however, came to address the root cause of this limitation, which is sin. Through His sacrifice, He provided salvation from sin and made eternal life possible. Eternal life includes “deathlessness.” When you were born again, you passed from death to life (John 5:24). It’s the reason you must be quick and bold to share it with others. I remember talking to a man who had a very severe heart condition. The doctors had diagnosed him with heart failure and said he needed a transplant. But as I shared the Gospel with him, I said, “While I’m talking with you, there’ll be a change in your heart.
