TAKE IT TO THE BANK!

(Always Take God At His Word!)

📖TO THE BIBLE: Luke 5:5-6

“...Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.”

▶️LET’S TALK

When you read Mark 7, it gives an account of a Syrophoenician woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit. She cried out to the Lord Jesus, imploring Him to heal her daughter, but the Master didn’t respond. She remained persistent until the disciples were somewhat embarrassed, and asked Jesus to send her away. Jesus then said to her, “...Let the children be fi lled first, for it is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs” (Mark 7:27).

Undaunted by this response, she replied, “...Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs under the table eat from the children’s crumbs” (Mark 7:28). The woman had great faith, which the Lord commended, saying, “...For this saying go your way; the demon has gone out of your daughter” (Mark 7:29).

I love the way Jesus ministered to that woman. He didn’t talk to the demon; He didn’t say, “Devil, go out of the girl!” Rather, while talking to the woman, He said, “The demon is gone out from your daughter.” That was all the woman needed—a Word from the Master—and she took a hold of that word by faith.

A similar story is that of a nobleman whose son was dying. He spoke with Jesus and all the Master said was “Go your way; your son lives....” The Bible says, “...the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way” (John 4:50). He took the Master at His Word and went away, expecting a miracle.

“Good news, master! The boy is well!” his servants said to him as he returned (John 4:51).

“What time did he begin to get better?” the nobleman asked. The servants replied, “...Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him” (John 4:52). The man then realised that the

miracle took place at the same time Jesus spoke the words of healing. All you need to come out of any predicament is a Word from God: find out what He has said concerning your situation and take a hold of His Word, standing your ground in faith.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6TH 2025 LET THE GOSPEL BE YOUR PASSION For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth... (Romans 1:16). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God to save, heal, deliver and transform lives. That’s why it must be a message you understand, live by, and burn with passion to share with others especially as the coming of the Lord draws nearer than we’ve ever known. Paul the Apostle declared that he was not ashamed of the Gospel. That statement came from a place of deep conviction and unwavering commitment. For him, preaching the Gospel wasn’t optional but life itself. He lived for the Gospel and was willing to die for its advancement. Read His inspiring and heart-stirring words in Acts 20:22-27, “And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying ...

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH 2025 THE KINGDOM, THE FIELD, AND THE SEED Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field (Matthew 13:24). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD. The Lord Jesus, in His remarkable teachings about the Kingdom, used parables to unveil profound truths. One of such examples is the parable of the wheat and tares in Matthew 13. He said, "...the kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field" (Matthew 13:24). That "man" is the Lord Himself, while the "good seed" represents the children of the Kingdom. The "field," as He later explained, is the world. This is extraordinary. The Lord sowed good seed, not in someone else's field, but in His own field. That tells you the world is His field and part of His Kingdom. It belongs to Him. No matter what we see in the world today, no matter how polluted it appears, the field still b...
