Facts About The Book Of Revelation [Part 2]

Revelation 1:1

"The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John"

The details in this book are so important. Don't miss anything.

He introduces the book so that you understand WHY it is called the book of "Revelation". It is the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

"Things which must shortly come to Pass": the Greek communication is on the strength of it's coming to pass in quick succession...not in its nearness.

"To show to his servants"... "By his angel unto his servant John"... John is given as an example of one of His servants.

(Rom 1:1)

Doulos: translated servant;  One who gives himself up to another's will. One whose service is used by Christ in advancing his course. One devoted to another to the disregard of his own Interest.....

My question to you...Is this book addressed to you???

No wonder not many people understand the book of revelation. It's because it's for his servants. Are you his servant?

V2: referring to John.

V3: This is Johns prologue. (Vs 1-3). The book of Revelation is a prophecy. (it is both a revelation and a prophecy)

Just reading it, blesses you.

"For The time is at hand": The time is near.

If the time was near back then, it is nearer now.

V4- 7 The one who is in the present, who was in the Past and who is to come.... Referring to God!

V5: Grace from God and from Jesus Christ. God is the one who sits on the throne. Jesus is declared here as a faithful witness and the first born from the dead.

He LOVED us. WASHED us from our sins. Observe the tenses. He did it in his own blood.

6: He has MADE US Kings and Priests. This is not a promise. We are talking about the finished works.  He has made us King-priests. Royal priests.

Melchizedek was a King-priest of Salem.

Jesus was made a priest in this order. .

Unlike the Aaronic priesthood that was passed from one to another but werr not allowed to continue by reason of death

But Melchizedek had no beginning of days and no end of life. He abides a priest forever.

We are also born into this order of priesthood.

As royal priests, we have got responsibilities.

This prophecy was delivered to Royal priests.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

MONDAY AUGUST 26TH 2024 EXTRICATED FROM DEATH …who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (2 Timothy 1:10).  PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  The Bible records that in ancient times, humans lived for exceptionally long periods with lifespans exceeding 900 years. However, as sin increased, lifespans diminished. Genesis 6:3 says because of sin, man's lifespan was limited to 120 years. Moses, in his psalms, made an observation that due to sin, the typical lifespan of man was seventy years or eighty for those who were stronger. Even in old age, man’s life was filled with toil and sorrow, ultimately ending in death (Psalm 90:8-10). The Lord Jesus, however, came to address the root cause of this limitation, which is sin. Through His sacrifice, He provided salvation from sin and made eternal life possible. Eternal life includes “deathlessness.” When you were born again, you passed from death to life (John 5:24). Recall what we read in our them...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

TUESDAY, JULY 1ST 2025 CUSTODIANS OF A MESSAGE THAT WORKS For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth... (Romans 1:16). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  The Gospel of Jesus Christ that we preach is a message that truly works. It’s a message that produces undeniable results for everyone who believes it. It’s the reason you must be quick and bold to share it with others. I remember talking to a man who had a very severe heart condition. The doctors had diagnosed him with heart failure and said he needed a transplant. But as I shared the Gospel with him, I said, “While I’m talking with you, there’ll be a change in your heart. All you have to do is believe what I’m telling you; just believe and give me a few minutes of your attention.” He agreed. So, I kept talking to him, sharing with him the words of life. After about 15 minutes, I said to him, “It’s done.” And he replied, “Yes; it’s done.” The next test conducted on him ...
