PRIORITIZE CHURCH ATTENDANCE

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching (Hebrews 10:25).

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

One of the things you must become more conscious of and take very seriously as we anticipate the Lord’s soon return is what the Bible says in Hebrews 10:25 (NIV), "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching." If you’ve been found wanting in this aspect, not taking church attendance very seriously, you need to change and make it a priority.

Be regular with your church attendance, because in the house of God, you’ll learn the Word of God and be established in the Faith. This isn’t optional but a clear instruction for every child of God. Today, there’s so much information competing for your attention. This is one more reason why you must prioritize church attendance. Don’t assume you’ll know it by merely thinking about it. The Scriptures have been given to educate, inform, and culture us in the things of God. The Lord Jesus said, "Search the Scriptures..." (John 5:39) and Paul admonished, "Study the Word" (2 Timothy 2:15). What better way to learn and share the Scriptures than with other Christians in Church!

In the Old Testament, God commanded the children of Israel to gather at appointed times. In the New Testament, the principle remains; you must present yourself in the house of God. It’s not about hopping from one church to another every Sunday; rather, be committed and actively participate in the activities in your church family.

Get introduced to the leaders of the church and make yourself known. Identify with the family of God. The love you have for other Christians is a testimony in your spirit that you’ve passed from death to life as 1 John 3:14 says, "We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death."

Present yourself in the house of God and make yourself available for the Spirit of God to minister to you through the Word. The Bible describes the church as the pillar and ground of truth, the custodian of God’s revelation. So, prioritize church attendance and let the Word of God transform your life from glory to glory. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of belonging to your family. I commit myself to learning and living by your Word, presenting and making myself a committed member of a church family, and demonstrating your love to others. Your Word cultures me, and I walk in its light daily, bearing fruit that glorifies you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen..... click on the link below to study yesterday's Rhapsody of Realities

MONDAY AUGUST 26TH 2024 EXTRICATED FROM DEATH …who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (2 Timothy 1:10).  PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  The Bible records that in ancient times, humans lived for exceptionally long periods with lifespans exceeding 900 years. However, as sin increased, lifespans diminished. Genesis 6:3 says because of sin, man's lifespan was limited to 120 years. Moses, in his psalms, made an observation that due to sin, the typical lifespan of man was seventy years or eighty for those who were stronger. Even in old age, man’s life was filled with toil and sorrow, ultimately ending in death (Psalm 90:8-10). The Lord Jesus, however, came to address the root cause of this limitation, which is sin. Through His sacrifice, He provided salvation from sin and made eternal life possible. Eternal life includes “deathlessness.” When you were born again, you passed from death to life (John 5:24). Recall what we read in our them...

MONDAY, 14TH JULY 2025 THE VIRGIN BIRTH CONFIRMS HIS DEITY   Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us  (Matthew 1:23). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME    When we say Jesus Christ is deity, we’re affirmingthat He is God. This claim is significant, especially when you consider that many around the world view Jesus merely as a prophet or a great teacher. While it may seem respectful for some to call Him a great prophet or a remarkable teacher, these assertions fall far short of His true identity.    That’s the reason it’s important to understand who He really is by first examining the miracle of His birth. TheBible describes His birth as extraordinary, something that had never occurred in all of history. Matthew 1:18 says, “Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with c...
