LOVE OVERCOMES ~ PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." (ROMANS 12:2)

When you allow unforgiveness in your heart, bitterness and malice set in and you will end up committing sin by walking contrary to the new life of the Kingdom, which is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. The moment you permit bitterness to well up inside you, it results in depression and quenches the Spirit. It creates a burden, represses, destabilizes and slows down your growth, and eventually makes you walk outside the will of God.

On the other hand, "...Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account  of the evil done to it (it pays no attention to a suffered wrong)" (1 Corinthians 13:5 AMP). Love is not selfish, but kind. Galatians 6:2 tells us to bear one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. The Law of Christ is love and everyone that loves is born of God and knows God (1 John 4:7). Natural human love can turn to hatred, but the God-kind of love will never go bitter. Love is a product of a transformed life that is considerate and forgiving.

Check yourself today and snap out of emotions that cause you to be bitter and depressed. Remember God has given you a spirit of love, power and a sound mind.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

MONDAY AUGUST 26TH 2024 EXTRICATED FROM DEATH …who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (2 Timothy 1:10).  PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  The Bible records that in ancient times, humans lived for exceptionally long periods with lifespans exceeding 900 years. However, as sin increased, lifespans diminished. Genesis 6:3 says because of sin, man's lifespan was limited to 120 years. Moses, in his psalms, made an observation that due to sin, the typical lifespan of man was seventy years or eighty for those who were stronger. Even in old age, man’s life was filled with toil and sorrow, ultimately ending in death (Psalm 90:8-10). The Lord Jesus, however, came to address the root cause of this limitation, which is sin. Through His sacrifice, He provided salvation from sin and made eternal life possible. Eternal life includes “deathlessness.” When you were born again, you passed from death to life (John 5:24). Recall what we read in our them...

🌨️RHAPSODY OF REALITIES🌨️

👤PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc.DD. 🗒️THURSDAY,20 JANUARY 2022🗒️ ⏮️TOPIC: THE KINGDOM WAY OF LIFE  SCRIPTURE 📖 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son (Colossians 1:13) 📍THE MESSAGE📍 When you were born again, you were born into the Kingdom of God’s dear Son. Even though you now live and walk in His presence, you still have to learn how to live in this real Kingdom of Light, and the Scriptures will help you understand this by the power of the Holy Spirit. Paul writing to Timothy said: “But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God…” (1 Timothy 3:15). This means there’s a way to behave oneself in the house of God. Christianity isn’t a way of life, but it has a way of life. In this Kingdom, there’s a language; we have our communication protocols. There’s a way of life; we think differently. This is something the devil doesn’t want many to know. He wants...
