"Coach, what am I doing wrong? It's so hard to stay afloat when I swim, no matter how hard I try!" Ava cried in frustration as she climbed out of the pool "Actually, you don't need to struggle," Coach Eric began to explain, "all good swimmers know they'll surely sink if they do that All you've got to do is simply release yourself to the water because it's there to keep you afloat!" On hearing this, Ava gained a new understanding that ultimately helped her become a great swimmer, and she went on to win several accolades in the sport.

Life is this way too. Those who don't understand that life is a gift that the Lord has given them to enjoy are the ones who struggle through life and find it difficult to stay afloat. If your plans include struggling or suffering for something you think you don't yet have, then you've made the wrong plans.

Life is a gift meant to be enjoyed; everything about life, including the world around you, was created for your benefit. All I you need to do to take charge and enjoy life is to stay in God's Word. It's as simple as that!

Realise that God has richly given you all things to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17). Find out about the things He's freely given you so you don't spend time struggling to get what's already yours. Let the Word show you what's yours in Christ Jesus so you can truly enjoy your life!

MONDAY AUGUST 26TH 2024 EXTRICATED FROM DEATH …who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (2 Timothy 1:10). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME The Bible records that in ancient times, humans lived for exceptionally long periods with lifespans exceeding 900 years. However, as sin increased, lifespans diminished. Genesis 6:3 says because of sin, man's lifespan was limited to 120 years. Moses, in his psalms, made an observation that due to sin, the typical lifespan of man was seventy years or eighty for those who were stronger. Even in old age, man’s life was filled with toil and sorrow, ultimately ending in death (Psalm 90:8-10). The Lord Jesus, however, came to address the root cause of this limitation, which is sin. Through His sacrifice, He provided salvation from sin and made eternal life possible. Eternal life includes “deathlessness.” When you were born again, you passed from death to life (John 5:24). The Bible says, “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:6). You’re truly the living tabernacle of God! Christ is alive in you. We are the last generation; the generation called to manifest His glory in the earth. This is what the earth has been waiting for. Romans 8:19 says, “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” We’re in office; we’ve taken our place of dominion, impacting our world with the glory of God. It’s the reason you must be quick and bold to share it with others. I remember talking to a man who had a very severe heart condition. The doctors had diagnosed him with heart failure and said he needed a transplant. But as I shared the Gospel with him, I said, “While I’m talking with you, there’ll be a change in your heart. All you have to do is believe what I’m telling you; just believe and give me a few minutes of your attention.” He agreed. So, I kept talking to him, sharing with him the words of life.
