LOOK TOWARD HEAVEN!
(Turn Your Attention Away to the Lord)

📖TO THE BIBLE
Psalm 121:1-2
“I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

▶️LET’S TALK
“I’m so smart: Cynthia’s dad is a business mogul and I can keep asking him for anything I want,” Leslie prided herself as they all drove to school in his chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce. This feeling didn’t quite last, as the next time she tried asking a favour from him, she got reprimanded. Till this point, she never realised that she’d been solely focused and dependent on people who could fail her, rather than on God. How important it is for us to take our eyes and attention away from ourselves—who we are, what we’ve done, where we’ve been, what we’ve got—and look to the Lord!
It brings to mind the story of Abraham in Genesis 15. God told to him, “Do not be afraid…I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward” (verse 1). And in Genesis 15:5-6, we read, “Then He (God) brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.” And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.” Soon afterwards, Isaac was born. God helped Abraham to look in the right direction and set his focus rightly. In the end, Abraham looked away from his old age and circumstances, toward heaven, and got Isaac.

Refuse to be one who looks into your wallet or purse to determine what you’ve got in life. Don’t say, “I’m so broke; there’s no money here.” No! Look away to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith; look to heaven where your help comes from. That’s one reason you pray and meditate on the Word. That’s how you can really focus your attention on the Lord to see and experience the miraculous! So, refuse to be anxious about who’s going to help you! Look toward heaven!

🗣 PRAY
Dear Father, I thank you for bringing me into a place of excellence, success, victory, and abundance. I’m inspired by your Word to think the right thoughts, speak the right words and receive the results of the Word in my life today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

MONDAY AUGUST 26TH 2024 EXTRICATED FROM DEATH …who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (2 Timothy 1:10).  PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  The Bible records that in ancient times, humans lived for exceptionally long periods with lifespans exceeding 900 years. However, as sin increased, lifespans diminished. Genesis 6:3 says because of sin, man's lifespan was limited to 120 years. Moses, in his psalms, made an observation that due to sin, the typical lifespan of man was seventy years or eighty for those who were stronger. Even in old age, man’s life was filled with toil and sorrow, ultimately ending in death (Psalm 90:8-10). The Lord Jesus, however, came to address the root cause of this limitation, which is sin. Through His sacrifice, He provided salvation from sin and made eternal life possible. Eternal life includes “deathlessness.” When you were born again, you passed from death to life (John 5:24). Recall what we read in our them...

🌨️RHAPSODY OF REALITIES🌨️

👤PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc.DD. 🗒️THURSDAY,20 JANUARY 2022🗒️ ⏮️TOPIC: THE KINGDOM WAY OF LIFE  SCRIPTURE 📖 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son (Colossians 1:13) 📍THE MESSAGE📍 When you were born again, you were born into the Kingdom of God’s dear Son. Even though you now live and walk in His presence, you still have to learn how to live in this real Kingdom of Light, and the Scriptures will help you understand this by the power of the Holy Spirit. Paul writing to Timothy said: “But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God…” (1 Timothy 3:15). This means there’s a way to behave oneself in the house of God. Christianity isn’t a way of life, but it has a way of life. In this Kingdom, there’s a language; we have our communication protocols. There’s a way of life; we think differently. This is something the devil doesn’t want many to know. He wants...
