BOUGHT WITH A PRICE! (You’re No Longer Your Own)

TO THE BIBLE:
1 Corinthians 6:20
“For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

LET’S TALK
Have you ever saved up money to buy something you really desired? Maybe you even had to forgo some other nice things you liked and could have bought, just because you were determined to get that one thing that was so precious to you. And when the day came, and you purchased that item, you were filled with every sense of joy and fulfilment in your heart, knowing that what you’d always wanted to have had now become yours. That’s exactly how God felt when Jesus Christ, His Son, paid for you with His blood!

If you’re born again, you don’t own yourself; “...you are not your own” (1 Corinthians 6:19). God paid the highest price for you, and that is the blood of His Son Jesus. Therefore, as the Bible says, you should glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are His. This means you ought to serve Him diligently, and submit yourself to His Lordship. Understand that God knows how to take care of His own. Since you belong to Him, it’s His responsibility to protect, keep, bless, help, promote and provide for you.

This understanding inspired David’s words in Psalm 23:1-3, where he declared, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1). David understood that he shouldn’t lack any good thing because God was his bread provider. If you wouldn’t let your pet at home go hungry, don’t you think God would do much more for the one He loves so much that He sent His Son to die for? Meditate on the fact that you’re God’s property today, and you’ll no longer despair or be frustrated in your life.

PRAY
Heavenly Father, you’re my life and in you, I live, move and have my being. I rejoice that I belong to a caring and loving Father as you, and I declare that Christ is glorified in me—spirit, soul and body—as I commit myself to only doing things that bring you honour and glory.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6TH 2025 LET THE GOSPEL BE YOUR PASSION For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth... (Romans 1:16). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God to save, heal, deliver and transform lives. That’s why it must be a message you understand, live by, and burn with passion to share with others especially as the coming of the Lord draws nearer than we’ve ever known. Paul the Apostle declared that he was not ashamed of the Gospel. That statement came from a place of deep conviction and unwavering commitment. For him, preaching the Gospel wasn’t optional but life itself. He lived for the Gospel and was willing to die for its advancement. Read His inspiring and heart-stirring words in Acts 20:22-27, “And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying ...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH 2025 THE KINGDOM, THE FIELD, AND THE SEED Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field (Matthew 13:24). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD. The Lord Jesus, in His remarkable teachings about the Kingdom, used parables to unveil profound truths. One of such examples is the parable of the wheat and tares in Matthew 13. He said, "...the kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field" (Matthew 13:24). That "man" is the Lord Himself, while the "good seed" represents the children of the Kingdom. The "field," as He later explained, is the world. This is extraordinary. The Lord sowed good seed, not in someone else's field, but in His own field. That tells you the world is His field and part of His Kingdom. It belongs to Him. No matter what we see in the world today, no matter how polluted it appears, the field still b...
