FAITH, HOPE, AND LOVE! (Three Principles to Live By)

📖TO THE BIBLE
1 Corinthians 136:13 NIV
*“…Now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

▶️LET’S TALK
Faith, hope, and love are three great principles revealed to us in the Word. First, hope is the picture of the thing you desire, which you see afar off; it’s that flicker of light on the horizon on which you fix your gaze. Many things may try to deter you from seeing the picture, but never let it go. If, for some reason, the picture gets blurry and you don’t see it anymore, get into prayer and confession of the Word to regain that vision.

Once you can see the picture, the next thing to do is to take action! It’s one thing to look at the picture far away, it’s another thing to take possession of it and bring it into the NOW of your life. And you do that by faith! Faith is taking possession of the picture you see afar off through your confessions. The Bible says, “NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]” (Hebrews 11:1 AMPC). Hope says, “It will be mine,” but faith says, “I have it right NOW!”

The third of these principles is love, and according to the Bible, it’s the greatest of the three. Your hope will not disappoint you because the love of God has been shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). Also, your walk of love secures faith in your heart, for the Bible says faith works by love (Galatians 5:6). Without love, your faith would not work. Love “…binds all things together in perfect unity” (Colossians 3:14 GNB); it never fails and it’s for all time.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

MONDAY AUGUST 26TH 2024 EXTRICATED FROM DEATH …who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (2 Timothy 1:10).  PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  The Bible records that in ancient times, humans lived for exceptionally long periods with lifespans exceeding 900 years. However, as sin increased, lifespans diminished. Genesis 6:3 says because of sin, man's lifespan was limited to 120 years. Moses, in his psalms, made an observation that due to sin, the typical lifespan of man was seventy years or eighty for those who were stronger. Even in old age, man’s life was filled with toil and sorrow, ultimately ending in death (Psalm 90:8-10). The Lord Jesus, however, came to address the root cause of this limitation, which is sin. Through His sacrifice, He provided salvation from sin and made eternal life possible. Eternal life includes “deathlessness.” When you were born again, you passed from death to life (John 5:24). Recall what we read in our them...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

TUESDAY, JULY 1ST 2025 CUSTODIANS OF A MESSAGE THAT WORKS For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth... (Romans 1:16). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  The Gospel of Jesus Christ that we preach is a message that truly works. It’s a message that produces undeniable results for everyone who believes it. It’s the reason you must be quick and bold to share it with others. I remember talking to a man who had a very severe heart condition. The doctors had diagnosed him with heart failure and said he needed a transplant. But as I shared the Gospel with him, I said, “While I’m talking with you, there’ll be a change in your heart. All you have to do is believe what I’m telling you; just believe and give me a few minutes of your attention.” He agreed. So, I kept talking to him, sharing with him the words of life. After about 15 minutes, I said to him, “It’s done.” And he replied, “Yes; it’s done.” The next test conducted on him ...
