π΄ Clapping is neither praise nor worship.
But clapping is not wrong. Clapping is applause, a sign of approval. It's not spiritual communication with God.
π΄ You've heard people say, "Let’s clap for Jesus"...
I didn’t say to do it, but you’ve heard it. Spiritually, it makes no sense. Clapping is not praise. It is not worship. It’s time to understand this.
π΄ Let’s talk about the spirituality of ministry — especially music.
This is crucial. Kenneth E. Hagin, a seasoned prophet and teacher of faith, had an encounter with the Lord that confirmed this truth.
π΄ In the early ’90s, he had a vision...
While praying for their annual convention, Jesus appeared to him and said:
— Clapping is neither praise nor worship.
— Many things done in church are assumed to be spiritual, but they are not.
— The Lord said: “You’ve gone as far as you can go.”
Because it took too long to get that revelation.
π΄ He couldn’t correct it in the Body of Christ... but we can.
For someone like me (Pastor Chris), it was easy to catch this truth while still young and align it with God’s Word.
π΄ Many thought he was saying clapping is wrong. No!
He was saying: Put clapping in its place. It is not worship or praise. It is a natural response of approval or excitement.
π΄ For example:
When a miracle happens and people clap, they are not praising God. They are reacting emotionally. But they often forget to actually praise or worship God.
π΄ We worship God with WORDS.
We worship Him by lifting our hands. The Bible says:
Psalm 141:2 — “Let the lifting up of my hands be as the evening sacrifice.”
π΄ There’s more clapping than lifting of hands in churches today.
Why? Because most believers were never taught to lift their hands. Even those who do lift hands often don’t know why.
π΄ 1 Timothy 2:8 (KJV) — “I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.”
π΄ This was a prayer of worship.
Paul emphasized lifting holy hands. But many do it just because others do it or because the worship leader says so — not because they understand its biblical meaning.
π΄ So what happened?
People clapped in the same way they lifted hands — without understanding. Just following the flow, not the Word.... click on the link below to study the message: You are not a Divine Accident by Pastor Chris
