FAITH—A LAW OF THE SPIRIT

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Hebrews 11:6).

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

The Bible says without faith, it’s impossible to please God. Someone might ask, “Why faith; can’t God just do things for us without us applying faith?” The answer is no, because faith is a spiritual law in the Kingdom of God. Just as the law of gravity governs motion or inertia in our physical world, faith governs our activities in the spirit realm.

If you’re sitting on a chair right now, it’s because of the law of gravity, an invisible force that pulls everything toward the centre of the Earth. Without it, you’d be floating uncontrollably in the air. In the realm of the spirit, the law of faith is just as much in operation.

Romans 3:27 talks about this law of faith; it says, “Where is boasting then? It is excluded; by what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.” Faith is believing in the unseen; to receive from a realm that’s invisible to the senses, and to bring spiritual realities into physical manifestation. Faith allows you to live beyond your circumstances. The earth exists within a broader spirit realm—the lesser is included in the greater.

Even if you don’t see angels around you, for instance, they’re ever present and ministering in our behalf and for our benefit. But it takes faith to recognize their spiritual reality. Divine health and healing are also from the spirit realm. God has already given you divine health; it’s a product of eternal life. But it won’t become your experience until you shift from natural thinking to spiritual understanding through faith. So, walk in faith. See with the eyes of your spirit. Speak from the realm of truth. Live by the law of faith.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the law of faith by which I live and walk in your power and blessings. I live in the consciousness of your Word and spiritual realities. I walk in health, strength, abundance, victory and dominion; I’m full of the Spirit. My life is upward and forward only, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

MONDAY AUGUST 26TH 2024 EXTRICATED FROM DEATH …who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (2 Timothy 1:10).  PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  The Bible records that in ancient times, humans lived for exceptionally long periods with lifespans exceeding 900 years. However, as sin increased, lifespans diminished. Genesis 6:3 says because of sin, man's lifespan was limited to 120 years. Moses, in his psalms, made an observation that due to sin, the typical lifespan of man was seventy years or eighty for those who were stronger. Even in old age, man’s life was filled with toil and sorrow, ultimately ending in death (Psalm 90:8-10). The Lord Jesus, however, came to address the root cause of this limitation, which is sin. Through His sacrifice, He provided salvation from sin and made eternal life possible. Eternal life includes “deathlessness.” When you were born again, you passed from death to life (John 5:24). Recall what we read in our them...

TUESDAY, JULY 1ST 2025 CUSTODIANS OF A MESSAGE THAT WORKS For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth... (Romans 1:16). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  The Gospel of Jesus Christ that we preach is a message that truly works. It’s a message that produces undeniable results for everyone who believes it. It’s the reason you must be quick and bold to share it with others. I remember talking to a man who had a very severe heart condition. The doctors had diagnosed him with heart failure and said he needed a transplant. But as I shared the Gospel with him, I said, “While I’m talking with you, there’ll be a change in your heart. All you have to do is believe what I’m telling you; just believe and give me a few minutes of your attention.” He agreed. So, I kept talking to him, sharing with him the words of life. After about 15 minutes, I said to him, “It’s done.” And he replied, “Yes; it’s done.” The next test conducted on him ...
