Highlights on The Resurrection of Jesus Christ and What it Means to Us
Today is Easter - the commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Someone that does not believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ is not a Christian. Without the resurrection of Jesus there is no Christianity - no New Testament without the resurrection - no eternal life. The death of Jesus Christ did not give us eternal life.
Romans 10:1-10 "Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved.
2. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
3. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.
4. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
5. For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, "The man who does those things shall live by them."
6. But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'" (that is, to bring Christ down from above)
7. or, "Who will descend into the abyss?" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).
8. But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach):
9. that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
***You don't have to worry how God will bring salvation, because the word that brings salvation is very close to you - in your mouth and heart. Salvation comes through the word of Faith which we preach. You must confess with your mouth the Lordship of our Lord Jesus Christ. For you to experience salvation you must confess and believe the Lordship of our Lord Jesus Christ. You believe with your heart, not with your brain or mind. This is why we can believe without analyzing it first. When you believe you are brought into righteousness. The confession here means you speak in agreement with the word of God on the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Don't say "I believe", you must act so. The devil also believes, the Bible says the devil also believed and trembled.
*Message to the Loveworld Ladies*
1 Corinthians 7:32-35 in the Amplified Bible (AMP):
"32. I want you to be free from worry and distraction. The unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how he can please the Lord [by paying attention to Him, by worshiping, by giving himself to Him];
33. But the married man is anxious about the things of the world, how he can please his wife.
34. There is a difference also between the wife and the virgin: the unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and spirit; but the married woman cares about the things of the world, how she can please her husband.
35. And this I say for your own benefit; not to restrict you, but to promote what is appropriate and secure undistracted devotion to the Lord."
**These verses of the Bible are not a recommendation. It is saying that the married man is worried about worldly things - they are distracted with the desire to please his wife. This pleasing wife is somehow inconsistent with his work with God. As a woman of God, don't become a distraction to your husband. Look at the distinction between the married and unmarried man here. We should know that God doesn't want 99% of our attention. He wants 100%. He wants you to do all through Him. It cannot be Him and your family or work. Jesus did not give half; He gave everything. As a woman of God, refuse to be a distraction to your husband. The married woman also has the problem - to please the husband if he becomes a distraction. As a married or unmarried woman, be devoted to God, not your husband or yourself. For the married, if you and your husband are devoted to God, you will love each other.
*A woman of God must be a Wailing Woman*
Jeremiah 9:17-20 NIV
17. Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider and call for the mourning women to come; send for the most skillful of them to come,
18. that they may come quickly and raise a wailing over us, that our eyes may run down with tears and our eyelids flow with water.
19. For a voice of wailing is heard from Zion: ‘How we are ruined! We are utterly shamed! For we have forsaken the land; our dwellings have been cast out.’ ”
20. Yet hear the word of the Lord, O women; listen, O daughters of the people. Teach your daughters wailing, and each teach her neighbor a dirge.
*Pray and keep the devil in check. The effectiveness of your prayer life determines your level of effectiveness in life. The church needs willing women - as a woman of God. Become skillful in your prayers. Learn the act of prayer, be effective in prayer. For example, look at the story of Samuel and Eli. After some calling, Eli perceived that God was the one calling Samuel. He thereafter taught Samuel how to respond to God's call - "Speak Lord, for your servant hears." The Bible says immediately God began to talk to him. We are not only skillful in prayer but we must teach others, especially our daughters, to pray too.
*Watchfulness
Mark 13:34-35 KJV:
34. For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
35. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning.
Isaiah 62:6-7:
6. I have set watchmen upon your walls, O Jerusalem, who will never hold their peace day or night. You who call on the Lord, take no rest,
7. and give Him no rest until He establishes and makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
The Bible calls us watchmen - we watch over cities, our homes. How can there be women in church and there is too much space? Wail in prayer for souls.
1 Thessalonians 5:6 tells us to "not sleep, but watch and be sober." As women of God, let us be vigilant in prayer and watchfulness, interceding for souls and cities.
