RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

SATURDAY, 15TH NOVEMBER

OUR MAGNUM OPUS

Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work (John 4:34).

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD.

The divine assignment God has entrusted to us is to bring salvation to the nations, expand His kingdom, and complete the work that the Lord Jesus started. The Bible says, “...he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand” (Isaiah 53:10). In Mark 16:15, He said, “… Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” This is our magnum opus—the grandest work of all history.

Others before us began it, but we’ve been called to complete it. This generation has been chosen for the grand finale, and we will prevail. Hallelujah! We’re the most equipped generation in the history of the Church. We’ve been blessed beyond measure. We’ve received knowledge, insight, platforms, resources, and divine connections. We’ve been given all the grace necessary. There are no excuses. We have the message. We have the mandate. And we have the means.

When you set long-term goals for career, travel, or personal success, make sure to consider setting your personal targets for the full preaching of the Gospel. The Master did. He said, “...My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work” (John 4:34). His focus was on completing His divine mission.

The Lord gave us a clear vision; He said, “…this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14). And we’re the ones to preach it. We’ve been graced and empowered to do it, and we will not falter. The Gospel is penetrating every nation, every city, and every community.

Give more of your time, energy and resources into the Gospel. Dedicate yourself wholeheartedly, knowing that your labour of love is yielding eternal harvest. Stay committed; intercede for sinners, persevere in love, and let your financial involvement continue to bear lasting fruits for the Kingdom. We’re in the final stretch. Stay fervent. Stay yielded to the Spirit. The Gospel will cover the earth as the Lord has said. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for counting me faithful and making me a partner in the end-time mandate of completing the full preaching of the Gospel in the nations of the world. The Gospel prevails through me; and I thank you for your grace, wisdom and divine strategies being employed by the Church to finish the great work you started, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:

John 4:34-37 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. 35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. 36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. 37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.

Romans 15:18-19 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed, 19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

MONDAY AUGUST 26TH 2024 EXTRICATED FROM DEATH …who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (2 Timothy 1:10).  PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  The Bible records that in ancient times, humans lived for exceptionally long periods with lifespans exceeding 900 years. However, as sin increased, lifespans diminished. Genesis 6:3 says because of sin, man's lifespan was limited to 120 years. Moses, in his psalms, made an observation that due to sin, the typical lifespan of man was seventy years or eighty for those who were stronger. Even in old age, man’s life was filled with toil and sorrow, ultimately ending in death (Psalm 90:8-10). The Lord Jesus, however, came to address the root cause of this limitation, which is sin. Through His sacrifice, He provided salvation from sin and made eternal life possible. Eternal life includes “deathlessness.” When you were born again, you passed from death to life (John 5:24). Recall what we read in our them...

TUESDAY, JULY 1ST 2025 CUSTODIANS OF A MESSAGE THAT WORKS For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth... (Romans 1:16). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  The Gospel of Jesus Christ that we preach is a message that truly works. It’s a message that produces undeniable results for everyone who believes it. It’s the reason you must be quick and bold to share it with others. I remember talking to a man who had a very severe heart condition. The doctors had diagnosed him with heart failure and said he needed a transplant. But as I shared the Gospel with him, I said, “While I’m talking with you, there’ll be a change in your heart. All you have to do is believe what I’m telling you; just believe and give me a few minutes of your attention.” He agreed. So, I kept talking to him, sharing with him the words of life. After about 15 minutes, I said to him, “It’s done.” And he replied, “Yes; it’s done.” The next test conducted on him ...
