Take a lesson from David in the Bible and accept responsibility when you are wrong. Stop making excuses and blaming others like Saul. 

A victim dodges responsibility and blames others and circumstances for his mistakes or failures, but a victor accepts responsibility and changes things. 

Regardless of what's been done to you, it's the way you respond to it that makes you the way you are.
