*THE HEAVENLY DEFENCE*

_(Jesus Is Our Chief Counsel)_

*TO THE BIBLE:*
*1 John 2:1*
_“My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.”_

*LET’S TALK*

Imagine being called into the principal’s office for something you didn’t do. Your heart is racing. Then a teacher walks in and says, *“She’s innocent; I know the full story.”* That relief? That’s what Jesus does for you!

I’m always so inspired by the depth of the Father’s love for us. He sent Jesus to die for us, raised Him from the dead, and appointed Him as our advocate against the devil, who is described in Scripture as the accuser of God’s people. That’s why John said *”the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down*” (Revelation 12:10).

Each time the devil tries to accuse you and make you feel undeserving of God’s blessings, Jesus, your advocate with the Father, speaks in your defence—He pleads your case! What a blessing! The Bible says His blood speaks better things than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24). His blood continually speaks on your behalf, washing you clean from all unrighteousness and every stain of sin (1 John 1:79) so you can keep running your race of faith with a clear conscience.

The Father ordained Jesus to be your advocate—counsel for the defence. With Him on your side, it’s impossible for you to be defeated or disadvantaged. Even when you feel embarrassed about a mistake in school or with your friends, the enemy may throw his darts of condemnation at you and try to get you to feel guilty and inferior before God, but all you need do is laugh him to scorn and say, *“Jesus, my Advocate with the Father, has justified me and presented me holy, unblameable and unreproveable before the Father.”*

Don’t ever get into an argument with the devil when he comes to you with his railing accusations. Just be conscious of your identity as the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, who also is your advocate before the Father.

*GO DEEPER*

*Romans 8:33-34* Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. *34* Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

*Romans 5:1 WNT* "Standing then acquitted as the result of faith, let us enjoy peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."

*PRAY*

_Precious Lord Jesus, thank you for being my advocate with the Father! Thank you for your grace, mercy and love by which I live a life of glory, free from sin, guilt and condemnation. Thank you for your blood that cleanses from all unrighteousness! Thank you for your death, burial and resurrection through which I’ve been presented holy, unblameable and unreproveable in your sight. Amen._

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

THURSDAY, JULY 31TH 2025 OUR UNIQUE ASSIGNMENTS IN THE MILLENNIUM Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment. And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land (Isaiah 32:1-2). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  Our theme scripture is prophetic about the Millennium. The latter part alludes to the unique role we (the Church) would be playing in the millennial reign, when Israel takes center stage. The millennial reign of Christ is not for the Church. It’s for Israel. So, what are we, the Church, going to be doing then? We're going to be carrying out angelic assignments. Our role at the millennial reign of Christ is very different from what a lot of people think; it’s going to be much like what the angels do today in ministering for us. In that day, the Jews will walk in the Millennial blessings that characterize the life of the saints wh...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

MONDAY, 14TH JULY 2025 THE VIRGIN BIRTH CONFIRMS HIS DEITY   Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us  (Matthew 1:23). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME    When we say Jesus Christ is deity, we’re affirmingthat He is God. This claim is significant, especially when you consider that many around the world view Jesus merely as a prophet or a great teacher. While it may seem respectful for some to call Him a great prophet or a remarkable teacher, these assertions fall far short of His true identity.    That’s the reason it’s important to understand who He really is by first examining the miracle of His birth. TheBible describes His birth as extraordinary, something that had never occurred in all of history. Matthew 1:18 says, “Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with c...
