πŸ”΄The house of God is the number one place for your seriousness as a child of God!

πŸ”΄You have to know what's pursuing you. Is it the Gospel or is it a vagabond spirit!

πŸ”΄A young man once told me he couldn’t make out time to go to church on Sunday because he had to go play soccer.

How sad!

πŸ“– Luke 21:34

And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

πŸ”΄The Lord Jesus Christ in the above scripture warns us on the need to be careful, lest our hearts become overcharged with surfeiting.

πŸ”΄In other words, He’s telling us to avoid overindulgence in the things we’re interested in or like to do, so much so that we get lost in them.

πŸ”΄Playing soccer or getting involved in any other kind of sport or recreational activity is good, but it’s only profitable to you in this life.

πŸ”΄Therefore, you shouldn’t let such engagements take pre-eminence over being in Church when you ought to.

πŸ”΄The Bible says concerning Jesus that “…he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read” (Luke 4:16).

πŸ”΄In other words, Jesus had a culture of going to the synagogue, which was a place of worship and a type of Church in that age.

πŸ”΄It was part of His personal discipline and devotion.

πŸ”΄If the Master took it as an important activity, you should do so too.

πŸ”΄If you don’t go to Church, you will not grow the way you ought to.

πŸ”΄Going to Church is one of those things you must do to exercise yourself spiritually; it’s more than just a weekly routine.

πŸ”΄The Apostle Paul warned, “Let us not neglect our Church meetings, as some people do…” (Hebrews 10:25 TLB).

πŸ”΄He expressed his displeasure at those who wouldn’t go to Church and warned others not to copy their attitude.

πŸ”΄Make a personal commitment that you will always be in Church on the days of worship.

πŸ”΄Don’t skip Church services or go only when it’s convenient for you. This is one sure way to walk in God’s Will for your life this year.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

MONDAY AUGUST 26TH 2024 EXTRICATED FROM DEATH …who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (2 Timothy 1:10).  PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  The Bible records that in ancient times, humans lived for exceptionally long periods with lifespans exceeding 900 years. However, as sin increased, lifespans diminished. Genesis 6:3 says because of sin, man's lifespan was limited to 120 years. Moses, in his psalms, made an observation that due to sin, the typical lifespan of man was seventy years or eighty for those who were stronger. Even in old age, man’s life was filled with toil and sorrow, ultimately ending in death (Psalm 90:8-10). The Lord Jesus, however, came to address the root cause of this limitation, which is sin. Through His sacrifice, He provided salvation from sin and made eternal life possible. Eternal life includes “deathlessness.” When you were born again, you passed from death to life (John 5:24). Recall what we read in our them...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

TUESDAY, JULY 1ST 2025 CUSTODIANS OF A MESSAGE THAT WORKS For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth... (Romans 1:16). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  The Gospel of Jesus Christ that we preach is a message that truly works. It’s a message that produces undeniable results for everyone who believes it. It’s the reason you must be quick and bold to share it with others. I remember talking to a man who had a very severe heart condition. The doctors had diagnosed him with heart failure and said he needed a transplant. But as I shared the Gospel with him, I said, “While I’m talking with you, there’ll be a change in your heart. All you have to do is believe what I’m telling you; just believe and give me a few minutes of your attention.” He agreed. So, I kept talking to him, sharing with him the words of life. After about 15 minutes, I said to him, “It’s done.” And he replied, “Yes; it’s done.” The next test conducted on him ...
