*FAITH IS A VERB*

_(Act Like You’ve Already Received)_

*TO THE BIBLE:*
*Hebrews 11:1*
_“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”_

*LET’S TALK*

Faith, the Bible says, is the substance of what you hoped for, and the title-deed of unseen realities. In other words, faith means that the things you were hoping for are now your present-hour possession. This is where the demonstration of faith comes to play. If it’s true that what you hoped for is now yours, then you ought to act that way. For example, you might have prayed to God for something concerning yourself, believing He’d do it.

If you truly believe that God heard your prayer, then you shouldn’t come back tomorrow and pray about the same thing again. You should now begin to act like someone who has received from God: that’s how to put your faith to work. That’s what Marcus’ Dad is saying in the opening conversation.

When Peter and John met the crippled man at the gate of the temple called Beautiful, Peter said to the man, *“Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk”* (Acts 3:6). Peter then grabbed the man by the hand, and lifted him. The Bible says, *“So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God”* (Acts 3:8).

The man didn’t try to test whether he could stand up; he jumped up! That’s a demonstration of faith. He believed he’d been healed, and he immediately acted that way, and he began to walk instantly. Understand that faith is active and not passive; faith acts now because it’s taken possession. That’s why the Bible says, *”…faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead”* (James 2:17). That means faith without corresponding actions is dead. The faith that works is when you believe that what God says are yours are yours, and then you act accordingly.

*GO DEEPER*

*Mark 11:23-24* For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. *24* Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

*SPEAK*

_My faith is producing results; I don’t waver or stagger at the Word of God through unbelief. I believe that God is who He says He is, and that I have what He says I have, and I can do what He says I can do. My faith is the victory that overcomes the world. Hallelujah!_

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6TH 2025 LET THE GOSPEL BE YOUR PASSION For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth... (Romans 1:16). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God to save, heal, deliver and transform lives. That’s why it must be a message you understand, live by, and burn with passion to share with others especially as the coming of the Lord draws nearer than we’ve ever known. Paul the Apostle declared that he was not ashamed of the Gospel. That statement came from a place of deep conviction and unwavering commitment. For him, preaching the Gospel wasn’t optional but life itself. He lived for the Gospel and was willing to die for its advancement. Read His inspiring and heart-stirring words in Acts 20:22-27, “And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying ...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH 2025 THE KINGDOM, THE FIELD, AND THE SEED Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field (Matthew 13:24). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD. The Lord Jesus, in His remarkable teachings about the Kingdom, used parables to unveil profound truths. One of such examples is the parable of the wheat and tares in Matthew 13. He said, "...the kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field" (Matthew 13:24). That "man" is the Lord Himself, while the "good seed" represents the children of the Kingdom. The "field," as He later explained, is the world. This is extraordinary. The Lord sowed good seed, not in someone else's field, but in His own field. That tells you the world is His field and part of His Kingdom. It belongs to Him. No matter what we see in the world today, no matter how polluted it appears, the field still b...
