*CHRIST JESUS---THE ULTIMATE REDEEMER*

_In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace_ *(Ephesians 1:7)*

Redemption is one of the beautiful truths in the Gospel because it reveals not only what Christ accomplished, but also who He is. The Scriptures present the picture of a redeemer as one who has both the legal right and the ability to secure another's freedom. In the Lord Jesus Christ, we find the perfect and ultimate fulfilment of that picture. He is the Redeemer who paid the full price for our salvation and brought us into everlasting freedom.

In the law of Moses, a kinsman-redeemer could redeem a relative who had fallen into debt or bondage. The redeemer had a legal right to act on behalf of the one in need, but he also had to pay the required price. Freedom wasn't obtained by mere desire or good intentions; a price had to be paid.

This helps us understand the significance of Christ's sacrifice. Humanity's greatest problem was not merely the devil's oppression; it was the issue of sin. Sin had brought separation from God and placed mankind under judgement. The righteous demands of justice had to be satisfied. A price had to be paid.

What a blessing to know that the Lord Jesus took our place and paid the full price required for our redemption. The payment wasn't silver or gold; it was His precious blood. The Bible says, *"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold....But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot"* (1 Peter 1:18-19).

When He shed His blood, He obtained eternal redemption for us. The debt was settled. The claims against us were satisfied. The penalty of sin was fully addressed. The Lord Jesus paid the price you could never pay. He accomplished what you could never accomplish for yourself.

Through His sacrifice, you've been brought into righteousness and fellowship with God. He met every demand of divine justice, paid the full price with His own blood, and secured your eternal liberty. Therefore, live with gratitude and confidence, knowing that your salvation is eternally secure in Him.

*PRAYER*

_Dear Father, I thank you for the redemption that is mine through the blood of Jesus Christ. I rejoice in the knowledge that the full price for my salvation has been paid. I walk in righteousness, in fellowship with you, and in grateful acknowledgement of the fulfilment of the full blessings of the Gospel in my life, in Jesus' Name. Amen._

*FURTHER STUDY:*

*1 Peter 1:18-19 NIV* For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, *19* but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.

*Hebrews 9:11-15* But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; *12* Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption [for us.] *13* For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: *14* How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? *15* And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions [that were] under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6TH 2025 LET THE GOSPEL BE YOUR PASSION For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth... (Romans 1:16). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God to save, heal, deliver and transform lives. That’s why it must be a message you understand, live by, and burn with passion to share with others especially as the coming of the Lord draws nearer than we’ve ever known. Paul the Apostle declared that he was not ashamed of the Gospel. That statement came from a place of deep conviction and unwavering commitment. For him, preaching the Gospel wasn’t optional but life itself. He lived for the Gospel and was willing to die for its advancement. Read His inspiring and heart-stirring words in Acts 20:22-27, “And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying ...

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH 2025 THE KINGDOM, THE FIELD, AND THE SEED Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field (Matthew 13:24). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD. The Lord Jesus, in His remarkable teachings about the Kingdom, used parables to unveil profound truths. One of such examples is the parable of the wheat and tares in Matthew 13. He said, "...the kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field" (Matthew 13:24). That "man" is the Lord Himself, while the "good seed" represents the children of the Kingdom. The "field," as He later explained, is the world. This is extraordinary. The Lord sowed good seed, not in someone else's field, but in His own field. That tells you the world is His field and part of His Kingdom. It belongs to Him. No matter what we see in the world today, no matter how polluted it appears, the field still b...
