RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

🌧️RHAPSODY OF REALITIES🌧️

👤 PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc.DD.

🗒️WEDNESDAY, 12TH JANUARY 2022🗒️

TOPIC: “PRAYING FOR ALL MEN”

SCRIPTURE 📖:
1 Timothy 2:1
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men

🎯THE MESSAGE 🎯

The underlined portion of our opening verse
suggests that the sentence is a continuation of
a subject earlier introduced. The most relevant context
is found in the 18th verse of the preceding chapter,
where Paul writes to Timothy, saying: “This charge
I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the
prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by
them mightest war a good warfare” (1 Timothy 1:18).
The next two verses are a brief digression, after which
Paul continues, “I exhort therefore….”
So Paul was actually showing Timothy how to war
a good warfare. He said, “…first of all, supplications,
prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made
for all men.” “First of all” means this is priority in
warring a good warfare. You begin by praying, not for
your personal requests, but for all men.
For a long time, a number of God’s people weren’t
praying with this in mind. Many were more concerned
about their personal agenda and what they wanted
from God such as money, property, fame and other
earthly things. The adversary took advantage of this for
a long time to wreak havoc in different nations, but
thank God the Church has learnt and is now awake to
her responsibilities. We’re acting on the Word, praying
first for all men. We’ve been called to war a good warfare and
the instruction is clear. He says, “First of all,” meaning
before you pray for other things—be it your family,
business, finances and so on—pray for all men. How
important this is! In fact, it ought to be a foundational
teaching in the Churches. As we lead souls to Christ
and bring them to Church, we ought to let them know
they have an enemy whose goal it is to destroy them.
We must teach them to pray as soldiers, not for their
personal needs, but for all men.
The ongoing Pastor Chris Live “Pray-a-thon” is an
opportunity for you to join millions of others in carrying
out your priestly ministry of prayer and intercession for
all men in a nonstop prayer marathon. Praying this way
is God’s instruction, and it should be our way of life.

PRAYER 🙏
Dear Father, thank you for pouring out your Spirit upon all flesh all over the world that the knowledge of your truth may be effectively communicated to all men. I pray for as many as will be reached with the Gospel today, that the light of the Gospel will shine in their hearts, resulting in their salvation. Thank you for this grace, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

MONDAY AUGUST 26TH 2024 EXTRICATED FROM DEATH …who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (2 Timothy 1:10).  PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  The Bible records that in ancient times, humans lived for exceptionally long periods with lifespans exceeding 900 years. However, as sin increased, lifespans diminished. Genesis 6:3 says because of sin, man's lifespan was limited to 120 years. Moses, in his psalms, made an observation that due to sin, the typical lifespan of man was seventy years or eighty for those who were stronger. Even in old age, man’s life was filled with toil and sorrow, ultimately ending in death (Psalm 90:8-10). The Lord Jesus, however, came to address the root cause of this limitation, which is sin. Through His sacrifice, He provided salvation from sin and made eternal life possible. Eternal life includes “deathlessness.” When you were born again, you passed from death to life (John 5:24). Recall what we read in our them...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

TUESDAY, JULY 1ST 2025 CUSTODIANS OF A MESSAGE THAT WORKS For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth... (Romans 1:16). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME  The Gospel of Jesus Christ that we preach is a message that truly works. It’s a message that produces undeniable results for everyone who believes it. It’s the reason you must be quick and bold to share it with others. I remember talking to a man who had a very severe heart condition. The doctors had diagnosed him with heart failure and said he needed a transplant. But as I shared the Gospel with him, I said, “While I’m talking with you, there’ll be a change in your heart. All you have to do is believe what I’m telling you; just believe and give me a few minutes of your attention.” He agreed. So, I kept talking to him, sharing with him the words of life. After about 15 minutes, I said to him, “It’s done.” And he replied, “Yes; it’s done.” The next test conducted on him ...
