It is not just what you do for your children but what you've taught them to do for themselves that will make them successful. 

Your children need your presence more than your presents. Children are great imitators, so give them something great to imitate! They must be taught how to think, what to think and how to talk. The greatest investment you can ever have is in your children. Your children are your greatest heritage! 

Only in the safe environment of warm acceptance and trusted confidentiality will children open up and share their deepest hurts, needs and mistakes with you. And whatever is shared with you should be handled in love and wisdom.
