*STAND FIRM IN RIGHTEOUSNESS*

_For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe_ *(Hebrews 5:13)*

There are Christians who sincerely love the Lord yet struggle to exercise consistent victory in their lives. They pray, fast and desire to grow spiritually but often find themselves intimidated by circumstances or continually battling the same challenges over and over again. The reason is not always a lack of zeal; often, it's a lack of understanding of righteousness.

We read in our opening scripture that *“…every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.”* This shows that spiritual maturity is connected to an understanding of righteousness. The one who doesn't understand the doctrine of righteousness remains spiritually unskilled.

You may know many things about Christianity, but if you don’t have the right understanding of your righteousness in Christ, you won't be proficient in the use of God's Word to maintain the life of dominion and constant victories we’ve been given in Christ. The lack of understanding of righteousness is the reason some Christians approach God with a consciousness of guilt, unworthiness, or condemnation.

What God wants is for you to be established in righteousness. Walk in the light of your righteousness. Stand boldly on God's Word. Never wonder whether or not you qualify for God’s blessings or deserve His help. Such thinking robs you of confidence and hinders the effective exercise of your faith.

Righteousness-consciousness gives you boldness. It gives you the confidence to stand in God’s presence without fear, inferiority, or condemnation. When you understand that you've been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, you won’t relate to God on the basis of your performance but on the basis of Christ's perfection.

This is why every Christian must be established in the doctrine of righteousness. Study and meditate on the truth that Christ is your righteousness. Let it become the consciousness of your spirit because the more you understand who you are in Christ, the more effective you'll be in exercising your authority in Him.

You were not made righteous because of your good works, nor do you maintain righteousness through your human effort. Therefore, refuse to live with a sense of inadequacy or spiritual insecurity. Stand firm in the righteousness God has given you and exercise your dominion with confidence.

*CONFESSION*

_I’m the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and I walk in the consciousness of my right standing with God and exercise my authority boldly in Christ. God’s Word builds my faith and prevails in my life today. I understand and live in the reality of my new life in Christ. Amen._

*FURTHER STUDY:*

*2 Corinthians 5:21* For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

*Romans 5:17* For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

*Hebrews 5:13-14* For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. *14* But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6TH 2025 LET THE GOSPEL BE YOUR PASSION For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth... (Romans 1:16). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God to save, heal, deliver and transform lives. That’s why it must be a message you understand, live by, and burn with passion to share with others especially as the coming of the Lord draws nearer than we’ve ever known. Paul the Apostle declared that he was not ashamed of the Gospel. That statement came from a place of deep conviction and unwavering commitment. For him, preaching the Gospel wasn’t optional but life itself. He lived for the Gospel and was willing to die for its advancement. Read His inspiring and heart-stirring words in Acts 20:22-27, “And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying ...

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH 2025 THE KINGDOM, THE FIELD, AND THE SEED Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field (Matthew 13:24). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD. The Lord Jesus, in His remarkable teachings about the Kingdom, used parables to unveil profound truths. One of such examples is the parable of the wheat and tares in Matthew 13. He said, "...the kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field" (Matthew 13:24). That "man" is the Lord Himself, while the "good seed" represents the children of the Kingdom. The "field," as He later explained, is the world. This is extraordinary. The Lord sowed good seed, not in someone else's field, but in His own field. That tells you the world is His field and part of His Kingdom. It belongs to Him. No matter what we see in the world today, no matter how polluted it appears, the field still b...
