*YOU’RE THE RESULT OF THE COVENANT*

_Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed_ *(Acts 3:25)*

Some Christians confidently say, *"I'm in covenant with God."* It sounds spiritual, and it's a popular expression in many Christian circles. But the popularity of a doctrine doesn't make it right. You are the seed of Abraham in Christ Jesus. Through Jesus Christ, you’re the fruit of the Abrahamic covenant.

Think about the marriage covenant between couples; it’ll help you understand this better. A husband and wife enter into a covenant through marriage, but their children aren't parties to that covenant. Rather, the children are the fruit of it. They are the result of the union established by their parents’ marriage covenant.

In the same way, the Christian isn't someone trying to maintain a covenant relationship with God or with the Lord Jesus. The Christian is the fruit of the covenant. Being born of God, you're the heir of the blessings of the covenant.

This is why the Bible doesn't describe the Christian as merely a worshipper or a servant of God. A Christian is one who's born again with the very life and nature of God. You're a new creation, a new kind of man. Your identity is rooted in the divine life you've received in Christ.

This understanding lifts your faith to a higher level. You don't approach God hoping He'll honour a covenant you think you have with Him. Rather, you live in the consciousness that you've been born of Him and into His household. You're an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ (Romans 8:17).

Moreover, the Bible says, *"And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise"* (Galatians 3:29). You're not trying to claim covenant blessings; you're the heir or inheritor of the blessings of the covenant because you belong to Christ.

Never reduce your relationship with God to that of someone standing outside, appealing to the terms of a covenant. You belong in the Father's house. You're His offspring, born of His Spirit; you're the glorious result of the new covenant which was established upon better promises through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

*CONFESSION*

_In Christ Jesus, I’ve been made a fellow citizen with the saints and a member of the household of God. I’m born of God, possessing the divine nature. I'm an heir of God, a joint-heir with Christ, and the heir of the blessings of the covenant. I live in the consciousness of my divine heritage, enjoying the fullness of all that Christ accomplished for me, in Jesus' Name. Amen._

*FURTHER STUDY:*

*Ephesians 2:19* Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

*Romans 8:16-17* The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: *17* And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

*Galatians 3:29* And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6TH 2025 LET THE GOSPEL BE YOUR PASSION For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth... (Romans 1:16). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God to save, heal, deliver and transform lives. That’s why it must be a message you understand, live by, and burn with passion to share with others especially as the coming of the Lord draws nearer than we’ve ever known. Paul the Apostle declared that he was not ashamed of the Gospel. That statement came from a place of deep conviction and unwavering commitment. For him, preaching the Gospel wasn’t optional but life itself. He lived for the Gospel and was willing to die for its advancement. Read His inspiring and heart-stirring words in Acts 20:22-27, “And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying ...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

  SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH 2025 THE KINGDOM, THE FIELD, AND THE SEED Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field (Matthew 13:24). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD. The Lord Jesus, in His remarkable teachings about the Kingdom, used parables to unveil profound truths. One of such examples is the parable of the wheat and tares in Matthew 13. He said, "...the kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field" (Matthew 13:24). That "man" is the Lord Himself, while the "good seed" represents the children of the Kingdom. The "field," as He later explained, is the world. This is extraordinary. The Lord sowed good seed, not in someone else's field, but in His own field. That tells you the world is His field and part of His Kingdom. It belongs to Him. No matter what we see in the world today, no matter how polluted it appears, the field still b...
