*BANNER OF LOVE*

_(God's Unfailing Commitment To You)_

*TO THE BIBLE:*
*Song of Solomon 2:4*
_"He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love."_

*LET'S TALK*

Ancient armies used banners as a material they waved above them as they marched in bright colours. Today, banners display very important information. Our God waved His resplendent banner of love and assurance over us when He placed our Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary. That was the eternal symbol of His total and absolute victory over the devil and of His Lordship over us. Furthermore, this precise victory is inscribed in the heart of every Christian!

The Bible says, *"But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us in Christ Jesus"* (Ephesians 2:4-7). So, you see, we're recognised by our identification with the blood of Jesus Christ. The banner of our God over us is love. God doesn't just love you; He's in love with you.

God's love for you isn't based on emotions or self-gratification, but sacrifice and commitment. In other words, God is committed to ensuring you don't lack any good thing. He guides and protects you by His great love. God's expression of love towards you isn't only when you're doing well and pleasing Him; He still loves you even when you've messed things up and made mistakes---when you failed that test, when you said the wrong thing, when you stumbled. His love is an eternal banner that doesn't see your faults or condemn you, but permits you to live by His grace as you grow spiritually. Praise God!

*GO DEEPER*

*1 John 4:19* We love him, because he first loved us.

*John 15:9* As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

*Galatians 2:20* I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

*PRAY*

_Dear Father, thank you for your banner of love over me! Your love for me is great, inexhaustible, and everlasting. Now, I'm not only the object of your love but also a dispenser of that great love to my world, in Jesus' Name. Amen._

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6TH 2025 LET THE GOSPEL BE YOUR PASSION For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth... (Romans 1:16). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God to save, heal, deliver and transform lives. That’s why it must be a message you understand, live by, and burn with passion to share with others especially as the coming of the Lord draws nearer than we’ve ever known. Paul the Apostle declared that he was not ashamed of the Gospel. That statement came from a place of deep conviction and unwavering commitment. For him, preaching the Gospel wasn’t optional but life itself. He lived for the Gospel and was willing to die for its advancement. Read His inspiring and heart-stirring words in Acts 20:22-27, “And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying ...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH 2025 THE KINGDOM, THE FIELD, AND THE SEED Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field (Matthew 13:24). PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD. The Lord Jesus, in His remarkable teachings about the Kingdom, used parables to unveil profound truths. One of such examples is the parable of the wheat and tares in Matthew 13. He said, "...the kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field" (Matthew 13:24). That "man" is the Lord Himself, while the "good seed" represents the children of the Kingdom. The "field," as He later explained, is the world. This is extraordinary. The Lord sowed good seed, not in someone else's field, but in His own field. That tells you the world is His field and part of His Kingdom. It belongs to Him. No matter what we see in the world today, no matter how polluted it appears, the field still b...
